For international travelers to visit Egypt, they must provide proof of travel insurance to enter. There are no formal coverage minimums or requirements for travel insurance, except that the duration of the coverage must last for the entire time that you're in Egypt. International travelers must also submit an EgypteVisa to enter.

Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) provides reimbursement for 75% of the prepaid, nonrefundable, forfeited payments you paid for your trip if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this policy - like border closures, travel bans, or if you just decide that you do not want to travel anymore. This coverage MUST be purchased with the initial policy and within 21 days of the initial trip deposit date, and the full, nonrefundable trip cost is insured. (This benefit is not available in every US state).

How much does travel insurance cost?

When should you buy travel insurance?
To obtain the most coverage, we recommend you purchase a travel insurance plan 21 days before the initial trip deposit date and include all prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs. Even if you don’t purchase travel insurance during the initial 21 day period, you can still buy it. Still, you may not be eligible for time-sensitive benefits such as CFAR or Financial Default.
