Plan Definitions

  • TRIP CANCELLATION

    The plan will reimburse you if cancellation occurs before your scheduled departure date due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury, death, unannounced strike, terrorist attack, or weather causing complete cessation of all flights. Covers up to the insured maximum benefit shown on your confirmation, for the cost of your airline ticket, the reissue fee charged by the airline for the tickets or your non-refundable airfare cancellation charges for flights joining or departing your Land/Sea Arrangements. Restrictions apply. Please refer to your state sample document for a complete list of covered events and exclusions.

  • TRIP INTERRUPTION

    The plan will reimburse you up to the maximum benefit shown on the confirmation of coverage if you or your traveling companion, booked to travel with you, are prevented from continuing or resuming your trip due to unforeseen circumstances such as sickness, accidental injury, death, strike, terrorist attack, mandatory evacuation or weather.

  • TRIP DELAY

    We will reimburse you, up to the plan maximum for covered additional expenses on a one-time basis, if you are delayed for 12 or more hours, while in route to or from your trip due to a defined hazard such as delay of Common Carrier, traffic accident, weather, lost or stolen passports, travel documents or money, Quarantine, hijacking, unannounced Strike, natural disaster, civil commotion or riot.

  • BAGGAGE DELAY 

    This benefit will reimburse you for the expense of replacing necessary personal effects if your checked baggage is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier for more than 24 hours while on your trip.

  • BAGGAGE/PERSONAL EFFECTS 

    This benefit will reimburse you, for the loss, theft or damage to baggage and personal effects while checked with a Common Carrier during your trip. Subject to limitations and exclusions.

  • MISSED CONNECTION 

    This benefit will reimburse you if you miss your cruise or tour departure, scheduled during your Trip, that results from cancellation or delay, for twelve (12) or more hours, of all regularly scheduled airline flights due to Inclement Weather. a) additional transportation expenses needed for You to join Your Trip; b) Reasonable Expenses up to the Maximum Benefit per day shown on the Schedule of Benefits; c) pre-paid nonrefundable Payments or Deposits for the unused portion of Your Trip. Coverage is secondary to any compensation provided by a Common Carrier.

  • EMERGENCY EVACUATION & REPATRIATION OF REMAINS

    We will pay, up to the benefit maximum for any reasonable charges for Emergency Medical Evacuation for a covered injury or sickness, which is:

    • required by the physician and the assistance company
    • to the closest adequate medical facility
    • using the most direct and economical conveyance and route possible.

    All evacuations and repatriations must be arranged and authorized in advance by the Assistance Company.

  • CANCELLATION FOR REFUND DURING FREE LOOK PERIOD 

    his plan has a free look period where you may cancel the insurance and receive a refund of premium provided no claim has been filed and you have not left on your trip. FREE LOOK PERIOD~ is 14 days except in the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Washington 10 day Free Look; Texas 15 day Free Look; Florida 21 day Free Look; Idaho, Indiana 30 day Free Look. After the Free Look period has expired the insured may cancel their policy, for a pro-rata refund, ONLY when the Travel Supplier has cancelled the entire trip, the trip has not started, and no claims have been filled or intend to be filed. Documentation can be submitted to: info@trawickinternational.com. When calculating the free look period, the day after purchase is counted as day 1.

    If travel has started, the premium is non-refundable.

  • OPTIONAL CAR RENTAL DAMAGE

    This benefit will reimburse you for the cost of repairs and rental charges imposed by the rental company while the car is being repaired, the actual cash value of the car or the maximum benefit. You must be a licensed driver and listed on the rental agreement in order for coverage to apply. Subject to a $100 deductible and other limitations or exclusions.
