Plan Definitions

  • Trip Cancellation & Interruption

    Provides reimbursement of insured, non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if a trip is cancelled or interrupted for a covered reason*. This annual plan starts the day selected for Coverage State Date and conditions for 364 more days. Trips must be within the covered period.

  • Trip Delay

    Coverage if You are delayed, while coverage is in effect, enroute to or from the Trip for twelve (12) or more hours due to a covered reason* Covered Trip Delay Expenses include: (a) Any pre-paid, unused, non-refundable land and water accommodations; (b) Any Reasonable Expenses incurred; (c) An Economy Fare from the point where You ended Your Trip to a destination where You can catch up to the Trip; (d) A one-way Economy Fare to return You to Your originally scheduled return destination trip is delayed for a covered reason*.

  • Itinerary Change - Pre-paid Excursion

    In the event a Cruise line makes a Change in Your Trip Itinerary after Your actual departure date that prevents You from participating in an event/activity that was pre-paid prior to departure and scheduled on Your Trip Itinerary, Your nonrefundable pre-paid event/activity expenses will be reimbursed up to the Maximum Benefit shown on the Schedule of
    Benefits, subject to any applicable sub-limits.
    Benefits will not be paid if the event/activity is rescheduled during the course of the Covered Trip.
    Verification by the Cruise line of the change in the scheduled Trip Itinerary will be necessary for claim payment.
    For purposes of this coverage, the following definition is added:
    Trip Itinerary means a plan of travel for Your Covered Trip that is provided by the Cruise line.

  • Baggage Coverage

    Provides reimbursement for lost and stolen personal items, as well as costs incurred due to baggage delay including sports equipment rental.

  • Baggage delay - Sports equipment rental

    Provides reimbursement for the cost of renting sports equipment if your checked sports equipment is lost, stolen, damaged or delayed by a common carrier.

  • Emergency Medical

    Provides reimbursement for emergency medical treatment if sickness or injury occurs while traveling.

  • Emergency Medical Evacuation

    Provides coverage for emergency medical evacuation, if necessary, to the nearest adequate medical facility, also includes repatriation.

  • CANCELLATION FOR REFUND DURING FREE LOOK PERIOD

    You may cancel this plan for refund by giving notice of cancellation to us, during the free look period. Most states have a 10 day free look period beginning the date the policy was purchased, but the State Certificate ultimately determines the timeframe of the free look period, if any.

Sanctions Limitations Clause

The Insurer will not provide any cover, pay any claim or provide any benefit under this Plan to the extent that the provision of such cover, the payment of such claim or the provision of such benefit would expose them to any sanction, prohibition or restriction under United Nations resolutions or the trade or economic sanctions, laws or regulations of the European Union, United Kingdom or United States of America.
